The purpose of the Chippewa Falls Main Street program is to improve the community's quality of life by strengthening the Downtown as the center of the community through Organization, Design, Promotion, and Economic Restructuring.
Chippewa Falls Main Street takes great pride in organizing and hosting popular events that fill our downtown with individuals supporting our local businesses. Our dedication to downtown Chippewa Falls is unwavering - from the Downtown Earth Day Cleanup, Pure Water Days, our 'Paint The Town' events, Cruise In Car Shows, to the Bridge to Wonderland Parade and other downtown events - we set the stage for showcasing the Chippewa Falls downtown year-round. Our events bring in over 22,000 people annually to our downtown area to support our local businesses and take part in activities.
As we look back on our history, we celebrate our nationally-recognized Dementia-Friendly Business Coalition, which was featured in the Minneapolis Star Tribune and was then used at the state level to provide a toolkit for other cities in Wisconsin and later across the nation.
Chippewa Falls has also been the proud recipient of the Wisconsin Main Street award for Best Downtown Retail Event, among numerous other events. Downtown Chippewa Falls has seen significant private investments and storefronts are being revitalized and reused.
It is truly an exciting time in Chippewa Falls and we are looking forward to continued success!
